“The one who releases himself from the emotional attachment to a desired outcome is, ironically, the one most likely to realize that outcome.”–Erik Von Markovik

I read this quote and thought to myself; wow how true is this. How often do we over exert pressure on ourselves to see a desired outcome, we work so hard and fantasize so much we tend to over worry and become uncomfortable with our feelings and our actions. We undermine our original efforts and this creates this unnecessary discomfort, and the more attached we become to wanting something to happen, the more anxiety is created within ourselves the less chances we have of succeeding. When we are functioning on "worries" level we cease to function at our peak performance levels, We no longer just flow and feel  our intuition, instead we fall and we stumble clumsily when really we could be allowing things to come naturally.

This is not to say do not create goals for yourself, because goals are extremely important in life; but the less emotional pressure we put on ourselves for things to turn out exactly how we see it, the more open we can become to new possibilities we never even thought of originally, and ultimately the more we will genuinely enjoy the ride rather than obsess over the destination. Just like someone who travels in a canoe has to adapt their course according to the changing currents, we will best succeed when we allow our goals to adapt to the ever changing tides of this journey called life.
