Just some words I have gathered via internet to expand those minds of yours!
It is not easy to find happiness in ourselves, and it is not possible to find it elsewhere. The greatest hazard of all, losing one's self worth , it can occur very quietly in the world, as if it were nothing at all. No other loss can occur so quietly; any other loss - an arm, a leg, five dollars, a wife, etc. - is sure to be noticed. Your heart knows your song, but you have to be willing to listen to the words. At this very moment, you may be saying to yourself that you have any number of admirable qualities. You are a loyal friend, a caring person, someone who is smart, dependable, fun to be around. That's wonderful, and I'm happy for you, but let me ask you this: are you being any of those things to yourself?
Our credulity is greatest concerning the things we know least about. And since we know least about ourselves, we are ready to believe all that is said about us. Hence the mysterious power of both flattery and calumny.
It doesn't make any difference whether what you face is something that affects your work, your personal relationships, your sense of security, your appraisal of self-worth, or your appearance--the way you think about your situation largely determines whether you will do anything about it and what you will do????
Food for thought?
A bar of iron costs $5, made into horseshoes its worth is $12, made into needles its worth is $3500, made into balance springs for watches, its worth is $300, 000. Your own value is determined also by what you are able to make of yourself….
ME…..
I love challenge, I am resourceful and I will continue to walk on the edge of the precipice because over the years I have become fascinated by how close I can walk without losing my balance. My life should be unique; it should be an alms, a battle, a conquest, a medicine all of which I am prepared to face and do so with a smile on my face. Up to a certain point in a person’s life is shaped by environment, heredity, and movements and changes in the world about them. Then there comes a time when it lies within our grasp to shape the clay of our life into the sort of thing we wish to be. The easy way out will be to blame my parents, my friends, my race, my times, my lack of good fortune, or the quirks of fate. Everyone has it within our power to say, "This I am today; that I will be tomorrow." Daily I learn - sometimes painfully, other times with glee - that mine is a path never meant to be paved.
Appreciate me for who I am, don’t take for granted my kindness, for it is not my weakness.
Appreciate me…for I am a great soul worth being loved and treated kindly
Appreciate me…because I respect and love who you are as a person
Appreciate me…because today I may be here tomorrow I may not…
Appreciate me…because I will not allow anyone to take advantage me…..
Appreciate me…because I have self worth, and if you cannot see just how special I am…than you do not deserve me in your life…
Appreciate me..because I feel alone in this world just like you do, maybe we can be alone together?
Appreciate me…because I have struggled just like you and I too know what suffering feels like
Appreciate me...because I am capable of great love.
Appreciate me…because of all the reasons listed….I appreciate all of you!
