"Everything we do is by choice and we have become so ingrained to surrender our personal power to things outside of ourselves, we do not even realize the huge part we are playing in our own circumstances. We think we HAVE to do certain things 

and that we do not have a choice but this is not true. The real reality is, the other options often require sacrifice and great change and we do not want to be bothered or we are to afraid, so we continually convince ourselves these other options are really not options at all. Some of the choices we need to make may be the hardest things will ever have to do, but if they are viable options to improve our life and we choose not to pursue them because of the difficulty they pose, that is on us. The most important aspect of taking responsibility for our life will be to acknowledge that our life is our responsibility. No one can live life for us. We are in charge. No matter how hard we try to blame others for the events of our life, ultimately we must accept that each event is the result of choices we made and are still currently making."~Story Naiad
