I didn’t always have things together, and honestly I still don’t. The difference between then and now is my perception of the situation. I can tell you before I really started giving service to others I had a deep emptiness in my heart. No job or career path seemed to satisfy me, I was distracted and disappointed very easily, I grew bitter from how my employers treated people. I was sadden to see all the cut backs and lay offs, I always felt like there had to be more to life than just working for a paycheck. I was powerless over the situation; all I had was my desire to help others to help themselves. It was from that very intention I decided to stop making excuses why I can’t and start taking steps toward making a conscious effort to "I Can".~Will Rivera
