We all are full of emotions; it would be a very dull world indeed if everyone was only feeling one type of way all the time. Our emotions allow us to see the world in many different ways, you can learn to have them work toward helping you or allow them to work against you. It’s all about perspective and how you see and feel the situation is unfurling, when you don’t allow yourself to openly accept all the possible ways to view a certain circumstance, you are crippling your emotional arsenal and chances are if your day starts off horrible you will be sure to look at everything that follows as just that, leading to your day ending horribly as well. Sometimes you have to look at things from outside of the box, understand the rationale behind the decisions made by others and ultimately ask yourself what can be learned from this, what are the possible positives that can be taken from any given situation. Life is a constant balance we are forever learning, changing and growing; there is always something to be learned regardless of how painful or joyous the emotion is. You can’t control the decisions others make, and when their decisions effect your life, the only thing to do is make the best of the outcome; you can argue for days, weeks and even years if you want, you can stress till you feel ill, regardless of how you cope with it, the decision won’t’ change and neither will the person.
Every emotion you feel and see through can be looked upon as a looking glass into the world, the more glasses you acquire through understanding, openness and compassionate listening, the more perspectives you will gain that will allow you to use the right “lens” at the right time, which ultimately brings us emotional balance. There is no such thing as living problem free or emotion free, so why not start to understand your feelings more deeply and learn to enjoy the situation, good or bad, make the best of everything, appreciate everything; instead of suffering needlessly.
